Star Songs

Last night I woke

to the songs between stars

beckoning me, lulling me

to let go and float

through my window, past trees

guiding me upward

through clouds and the moon

to the birth songs beyond

and I was buoyant and free

as I floated untethered

on a faraway ocean,

a raindrop, a tear
